Short Track to MES

A Manufacturing Execution System (MES) is a software tool for controlling and monitoring the production process. It closes the gap between ERP and production. Often, different IT systems are used for individual tasks within production – for this the term “shopfloor IT” has been established in recent years.

According to different surveys, there are the following reasons (objectives) for implementing an MES:
